Sue Readman has extensive experience working for over 20 years in the disability industry.
She has directly supported people with disabilities, in a range of places including group homes, day placement and respite houses, and has also coordinated a number of school holiday camps for children with disabilities.
Sue also brings to MCIE specialist skills to pass on to students in the field of non-verbal communication options, especially for people who need to use communication aids. Sue is also an experienced presenter with Key Word Sign Victoria and has been training professionals in the use of signs for many years. Seeing the positive outcome in people’s lives, as their support workers learn to communicate with them effectively, is one of Sue’s greatest rewards. She maintains her industry currency by conscientiously continuing to work for a disability service on a part time basis, working alongside people with a disability to develop their own personal plans. Personal planning is another key issue which students will be supported in learning.
MCIE students can be confident that their learning will be guided by Sue’s passion, experience and teaching skills to enable them to commence their chosen career with, not only a sound knowledge of their work role, but, a true understanding of the importance of their work.
