Our student welfare team can be contacted for any support students may need at any time. In addition, all our teaching and administrative staff are always available to provide students with general advice and assistance.

Students may contact me with critical life impact issues and urgent requests for support 24/7 on 0412 278 654.  Otherwise for general welfare support, please submit a request to make an appointment with Michelle, using the Request form. General welfare support is available during work hours Monday to Friday.

ESOS – all students

All students should be aware of the ESOS framework. An outline of the ESOS framework is available from the Australian Government’s Australia Education International (AEI) website.

 

Computer lab & internet access

The MCIE Computer Lab is located at the main campus and provide students with Internet access.

 

Employment & accommodation advice

Advice is available to assist students in their search for work and accommodation. This is provided in the form of one-to-one assistance in accessing resources for finding accommodation as well as workshops on writing resumes and cover letters.

Your student visa permits you work40 hours per fortnight provided that work does not interfere with their studies. You must not work for more than 40 hours per fortnight during the semester. During official holidays between semesters there are no restrictions on the number of hours you may work

 

Language & learning skills

Additional classes are available to assist students who may be having difficulties with their English language skills and study techniques.

 

Student orientation

Students participate in an Orientation Program providing detailed information regarding life and study in Melbourne. The program also includes a full tour of all MCIE’s facilities.
