To deliver: CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support

Successful applicants will:

  • hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116, or equivalent or higher) with TAELLN411 and TAEASS502
  • have a good understanding of the VET industry and The Standards for RTOs 2015
  • have vocational qualifications relevant to area of expertise and at the AQF level delivered
  • be able to demonstrate current industry experience (at least three years)
  • be able to demonstrate VET experience in training international students (advantageous)
  • be a confident and competent classroom trainer, able to assess and submit student results in a timely way
  • have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • have experience developing session plans and learning resources (desired)

  • Candidates with previous experience of workplace based training – Apprenticeships and Traineeships is mandatory

Head of Department, Health and Community Care

The Head of Department, Health and Community Care is responsible for the delivery of the following qualifications:

  • CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support

  • CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability
  • HLT33015 Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance
  • HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
  • HLT43015 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • significant experience at a level on operational level in the coordination and management or Health and Community Care qualifications
  • demonstrated successful experience in supporting the submission of funding applications for Health and Community Care qualifications
  • demonstrated commitment to deliver quality vocational training and education programs
  • comprehensive understanding of the Community Services training package, the Standards for Training Organisations 2015 and Skills First contract
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage a small team
  • ability to contribute to ongoing review and continuous improvement of vocational education and training programs
  • ability to comply with reporting requirements and to maintain records in accordance with policies and procedures

 

Responsibilities include:

  • establishing industry links
  • providing leadership to support the delivery of quality courses
  • managing the Health and Community Care course requirements and expectations of each student, work placement host employers and employers
  • monitoring and supporting student progress
  • establishing new and maintaining existing industry links
  • ensuring compliance with all standards, contracts and internal requirements for program delivery
  • dissemination of relevant information to employers, students and industry
  • maintaining personal professional development as it relates to the role
  • supporting the marketing of the department and courses
