We are seeking passionate, motivated and qualified Trainers & Assessors to deliver class-based and workplace-based business courses in 2021:

  • Certificate IV in Business
  • Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business
  • Diploma of Leadership and Management
  • Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management
Successful applicants will
  • hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116, or equivalent or higher) which includes the units TAELLN411 and TAEASS502
  • have vocational qualification in area of expertise and at least to the level you are seeking to teach
  • have a good understanding of the VET industry
  • be able to demonstrate current industry experience in your area/s of expertise (at least three years)
  • be able to demonstrate VET experience in teaching international students (preferred)
  • be confident and competent classroom trainers, able to assess and submit student results in a timely way
  • have knowledge of Skills First VET Funding Contract, ASQA Standards for RTO’s 2015, ESOS standards, and AVETMISS requirements (desirable)
  • outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • have experience developing session plans and learning resources (desired)
  • hold a Working With Children’s Check

MCIE is seeking a Human Resource graduate for this full-time permanent position to support & maintain the institute’s management and HR record-keeping requirements.
 
Details
This is a full-time position located in Melbourne’s CBD.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring staff and trainer HR files are complete, validated and registers are maintained, ensuring:
  • onboarding processes are followed
  • resumes, PD logs, and Competency Currency Mapping Documents which demonstrate an individual’s industry currency, are on file, are current, and contain the information required
  • reference checks are completed and outcomes communicated to relevant managers
  • copies of qualifications are sighted and qualifications have undergone verification
  • the register of trainer/assessors is updated as new members of the team are onboarded
  • check currency of certifications with expiry dates
  • tracking professional development log, and CV update submission

  • Relevant and current industry experience
  • Candidates with previous experience of workplace based training – Apprenticeships and Traineeships is mandatory
  • Relevant VET knowledge and knowledge of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015
  • Experience in delivering VET training
  • Ability to work with and train students from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds
  • Are required to travel to worksites across the Greater Metropolitan area

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and control groups of students in a learning environment
  • Demonstrated computer skills and the ability to utilise a range of electronic technologies within a learning environment

  • The ability to work in a cooperative manner with others
