If you are unemployed right now, there is no better time than the present to find work. According to data from SEEK, Australian employers have a record-breaking number of jobs up for grabs.

Due to a decrease in seasonal workers and other COVID-19 related factors, employers are struggling to find qualified staff to fill roles in various sectors. The latest figures from The National Skills Commission reveal that more than 54% of recruiting employers reported having trouble filling vacancies in the four weeks up to April 30.

They had a particularly tough time hiring outside of the capital cities where 64% reported difficulties, and when hiring skilled workers with a Certificate III qualification or higher, it was 62%.
